Sharing The Planet

Our latest Transdisciplinary Theme is Sharing the Planet.

It is an inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution.

Central Idea :
Rainforests are a changing resource under threat.

Lines of Inquiry :
·         The benefits of protecting rainforests for our future (reflection)
·         Efforts to preserve rainforests (responsibility)
·         Differing perspectives on rainforest use (causation)

We began this unit with a trip to Kebun Raya to investigate all the animals and plants you can find in a rainforest. So far we have created mind maps of our trip and have also heard form Mr Tom about why rainforests are important.
