Where We Are In Place and Time

This is our current Unit of Inquiry. We hope to share work from this over the coming weeks. We will be looking at the various biomes in the world and what it is that makes them unique. We will also develop our knowledge about the world and key places within it. Human interaction with all these places is a central concept we will explore.

Where We Are in Place and Time









An inquiry into orientation in place and time; personal histories; homes and journeys; the discoveries; explorations and migrations of humankind; the relationships between and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilisations, from local and global perspectives.

Central Idea

Humans interact with our physical environment in variety ways.

Lines of inquiry :·          

  • The reasons people interact with the environment in the way they do (causation)
  • Various environments on Earth (form) 
  • Ways in which people connect themselves to various environments (connection)
